The Early Childhood Programs offer a preschool program to eligible children ages three to five in the towns of Burke, East Haven, Lyndon, Newark, Sheffield, Sutton, and Wheelock. The programs meet in a variety of settings and offer fun activities which focus on all aspects of a child's development. This is a wonderful opportunity for children to get to know other children their own age, making the transition to Kindergarten a little easier.

A playgroup experience is also available for eligible two and three year olds.

Information and support is available to parents throughout the school year as well as monthly parent meetings.

Special education services are available to all eligible children ages 0-5 years. Services include: evaluation, goal planning, special education and related services, and consultation to a variety of early childhood and child care programs.

For more information, please contact Marsha Cherington, Nancy Hall, Tara Mendes or Julie Sturm at 626-5262 or 626-5525. For residents of Sheffield and Wheelock, the Miller's Run School offers a Pre-Kindergarten Program for three and four year olds. This program provides a variety of stimulating activities to foster social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth. For registration information, call Elaine Collins, secretary or Mary Macomber, kindergarten and preschool teacher, at 626-9755.
